Firebird Technologies Inc. is a leading manufacturer of antimonide-based compound semiconductor wafers, specifically Indium Antimonide (InSb). In recent years, we have spread our knowledge and expertise of metal compound purification, Czochralski crystal growth and custom fabrication/shaping to produce high purity metal products: 7N Antimony, 6N5 Indium and 7N Tin. The diversification has allowed for a secure supply of raw materials for our InSb product line and led to new market opportunities within the infrared imaging field.

All production efforts occur at our facility in Trail, British Columbia, Canada which houses high-capacity purification, growth, fabrication, and polishing equipment. Trail is also home to Teck Cominco Metal Ltd.’s Metallurgical Refinery Operations, hydroelectric dams and other major lumber and pulp and paper plants–all these resources are tucked into the beautiful, historic West Kootenay region of B.C.
